DREAMS
I want to see what affects your dreams. Are your dreams random? Or are your dreams inspired by what's happening in daily life? Why do you dream? What is the science behind dreams? I have always been wondering these questions. So I am going to get information from books from the library and from some websites.
My hypothesis is that what happens during the day and what you hear about and think about effect your dreams, and the more you think or hear about something, the chances of having that dream increases... I may do multiple experiments as I further look into my topic. But for my first experiment idea I am going to interview many reliable people and see their dream experiences. Then I am going to continually think about one thing at least once an hour for as many days as it takes, until I have a dream about it. I could put a picture of that thing in my locker, or write a note card that I will look at often. I believe that if you have a simple idea there is a bigger chance that you could dream about it. I will try a few different subjects and see which one I dream about, or if i even dream about them at all. I have heard many different theories about dreams, but I want to see for myself which one is true.

Oil spills
People are always saying that oil spills are so bad because we don't have a way of cleaning them up, and that it is killing our wild life in the ocean. Well I want to see what kind of materials can help soak up oil. I have heard that many different materials, both organic and inorganic, can clean up oil. For my experiment I will have a couple different graduated cylinders with oil in them. Then I will use different materials to try and soak it up, then see which cylinder has the least amount of oil.
